About
Betty is every woman who said “I'll go anyway.”
She is the one at the market at eight with the good bread already in her bag. The one who takes the train to see the grandchildren. The one who, told she would need a rollator, asked whether it came in rose. BettyGO is for her, and for the daughter who helps her choose.
A rollator is not the end of anything. It is a seat at the market, a steady hand on cobblestones, a basket for flowers and bread.
What BettyGO is
An international guide to rollators, walking canes and the small things that make everyday life with them easier – written in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Japanese, with the products of your country's Amazon store and the rules of your country's health system. We treat a rollator the way a magazine treats a good coat or a bicycle: an object for freedom, style and real days, chosen with care. Not a medical appliance, not a sign of decline.
Who makes it
BettyGO is made in Düsseldorf, Germany, by a small team around Thorsten Lind, who runs several independent guide sites. We are not doctors or physiotherapists; we compare mobility aids the way friends compare handbags – honestly, in detail and with an eye for what you will actually use – and we say when a question belongs to a professional.
How we choose
- We start with the day, not the product: the flat, the town, the car, the park. Each model page compares the rollators built for one kind of day.
- We take weights, dimensions and colours from the manufacturers and the Amazon listings, read the independent tests that exist and owner reviews, and we weigh five things: weight, brakes, seat, fold and looks.
- We say plainly who a model suits and who it does not. 'A good fit if' and 'less so if' stand under every product.
- We show only models sold in your country's store, so nothing on the page is out of reach.
- We do not run a laboratory, and we do not claim to have tested what we have not.
How we earn
Through affiliate links: when you buy through a link marked with an asterisk, the shop pays us a small commission. The price does not change for you. Commissions never decide which models we show or what we say about them – a rollator we would not recommend to a friend does not appear here, however well it would pay. Details are on the affiliate disclosure page.
What we will never do
- Invent reviews or star ratings. Every rating you see is linked to its source.
- Call you a patient, a senior or a case. You are a woman who walks.
- Promise that a product prevents falls or cures anything. Where health is concerned we say what a physiotherapist would say and point you to one.
- Show prices that might be wrong. Prices change daily; the shop page has the current one.
- Track you with advertising cookies. Our privacy policy is short because there is little to tell.
